Many students with diabetes will face unique challenges and stressors as they head back to school this season. NDEP’s Diabetes HealthSense online tool can help you find resources to support people in making changes to live well – whether they have diabetes or not. Use resources, such as materials used with 6th to 8th grade students in the NIH-funded HEALTHY Study to promote behavior change to lower risk factors for type 2 diabetes.

NDEP Congratulates Linda Haas, Ph.C, R.N., C.D.E.
Linda Haas, Ph.C, R.N., C.D.E., member of NDEP’s Older Adults Stakeholder Group is the 2013 recipient of the American Association of Diabetes Educators’ Living Legend Award. This award honors an individual who has been active in the diabetes field for at least 20 years and demonstrates extraordinary and sustained contributions to diabetes education.
