Instructions for Downloading Images

Use the list below to determine the resolution you need:

  • 72 dpi is low resolution, GIF format, and appropriate for web pages

  • 150 dpi is medium resolution, RGB TIFF format, and appropriate for color laser printers and newspaper printing

  • 300 dpi is high resolution, RGB TIFF format, and appropriate for professionally printed magazine ads and other publications.

Windows users: Right mouse-click on the link until a pop-up menu appears. Choose “Save As” or “Save Target As” from the popup menu. A dialogue box will appear asking you where you want to save the file. Select the destination for the file and click on the “Save” button.

Mac users: Control-click or click down on the image link until a pop-up menu appears. Select “Save this Link As” or “Download Link to Disk” from the menu. A dialogue box will appear asking you where you want to save the file. Select Destination and click on the “Save” button. If given a choice, it’s important to select “Source” not “Text” on the format popup in the save dialogue box.
