  • This free workshop helps older adults get the support they need and find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue, and stress. Older adults can also discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment options, and learn better ways to talk with their doctor and family about their health.

    National Council on Aging (NCOA)

  • Better Choices, Better Health - Diabetes is a six-week online workshop teaches individuals with diabetes self-management skills and techniques to more effectively manage their diabetes, overcome challenges, and improve their health. The workshop provides tips and tools to create and track weekly plans to improve health; monitor blood sugar, food, medication, and exercise; and an outlet to discuss problems and solutions with other participants.

  • This tip sheet offers strategies to help you improve your eating and physical activity habits.  Whether you feel like change is a world away or just around the corner, the information here can help you get started.

    Weight-Control Information Network (WIN)

  • This program brings face-to-face, small-group sessions to life through conversation maps.  With the help of a trained facilitator, participants focus on the health information most relevant to them and relate it to their own experiences.  At the end of each session, participants create a workable plan for using what they learn to drive meaningful behavior change in their lives.  Training for facilitators is available.
